The Sunshine Blogger Award

Thank you so much to Steph at the Lost: Purple Quill blog for nominating me for this award and for these great questions! Everyone should definitely go to her blog, she’s great. I had a lot of fun answering these so I hope you enjoy….

The Rules

  1. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  2. Answer the 11 questions your nominator has given you.
  3. Nominate 11 other people and give them 11 new questions to answer.
  4. List the rules and display the award

What would you do if you were invisible for the day?

This one made me think a bit! I’m stuck between pretending to be a ghost and hopping on a plane to go anywhere…..maybe both?

What was your favorite movie as a child?

I loved the Lion King so so much! In my opinion, it is one of the best Disney movies (haha please don’t get angry with me). I was also a big fan of the soundtrack….. Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba!

What is your favorite kind of blog post to write?

I really like writing book reviews. I love writing my opinions down immediately after I finish a book. If I weren’t writing them down, I would just be talking about them anyways so may as well record them!

If you could commission any author to write a book for you, who would you choose?

I have to say J.K. Rowling. I know that might be kind of an unoriginal answer, but its true! Ever since I was little, she has inspired me to want to become a writer, so she will always be my answer for author questions like this.

Is there a talent or skill, you don’t have, but wish you did?

I wish I could speak another language! I have been studying Spanish for 4 years now, but I still don’t feel confident in it at all. However, I am going to continue taking Spanish in University, so I’m hoping that will help me improve.

Someday, I would love to read this book in Spanish

What is your least favorite book?

This is a hard one, but I think I have to say the Scarlett Letter. I had to read this one for my literature class and it was tough for me to get through Hawthorne’s writing. I’m not saying that I didn’t enjoy the storyline after I was done and could discuss it, but reading it was such a drag!

Any random subject/fact/phenomenon that fascinates you?

Here’s a cool fact! Ohio is the only US state that doesn’t share a letter with the word mackerel 😛

What was your favorite birthday?

I don’t know why, but anytime I get asked this question, I always say my 3rd birthday because my favorite number is 3. I don’t remember anything about this birthday except that it was Elmo themed. I’m sure I had better birthdays, but I probably won’t ever change my answer haha

What kind of music do you like to listen to?

I listen to all types of music, except I don’t do country. Some of my favorite bands are the Wombats, the Kooks, the Foals, Coldplay (I went to their concert in Minneapolis and it was amazing!), Adele, Two Door Cinema Club, Ed Sheeran, Alt-J, Tom Odell, Iron and Wine, Bon Iver, Fleetwood Mac, etc. There are a lot more, but that is what I can think of off the top of my head. I love listening to music. I also love getting recommendations for new things to listen to, so don’t be hesitant to tell me what songs or artists you love!

What book have you ALWAYS meant to get to, but haven’t yet?

Little Women! This was one of my mom’s favorite books growing up and I always said that I’d read it, but I haven’t yet. Maybe this reminder will be a kick in the butt for me to pick it up.

If you could relive a day in your past, what would it be?

I can’t really pick a specific day, but I would love to relive a general day. I would love to be able to go back and spend a day on the lake with my entire family doing things like tubing, boating, and swimming:)

My Questions

  1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
  2. What is one food/drink that you could never live without?
  3. What is your favorite quote?
  4. If you were given a million bucks, what would you do with it?
  5. If you were stranded on a desert island, which three books would you have with you?
  6. Who is a literary character that you wish you could be?
  7. Who is your favorite singer?
  8. If you were to write a book, what genre would that book be in?

  1. Omg pretending to be a ghost if you were invisible is so great. Freaking people out would be so amusing. And using it to take a free plane ride somewhere is 100% what I’d do. And I bet Shadow of the Wind would be so beautiful in its original Spanish. I can only imagine since the English is so gorgeous! Love your answers!!
